The events sector has a big impact on the economy, creating substantial and seasonal job opportunities. The profound development of the sector over the years has created a sustainable environment for it to expand therefore being a strong vehicle for sustainable development. Sustainable development being a process which has means to maintain the ability of natural systems whilst meeting particular needs of the present. Doing this without negotiating the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Future focus is the main goal however this does not necessarily mean we lose out now as we cannot achieve this unless we change the way things are now for better.
